So, I found a cab and we started out I-80 to the closest marina at Great Salt Lake State Park. My cab driver was super cool - a refugee from Sudan living in SLC and applying for pharmacy school. Of course he thought I was ridiculous for taking a (rather pricey) cab out to put my foot in the stinky lake and then just come back to the airport. But it was TOTALLY WORTH IT!

Fantastic!!
I had a VERY long layover in Salt Lake City today. I'd never been to SLC, and before today, never really had a desire to go. Until I flew in - I had a window seat on the side of the Great Salt Lake and it was amazing! And peaking out the opposite side windows were snow capped mountains! The whole area was soooo beautiful. So I figured I'd take advantage of my 4 hours and do something cool - put my foot in the Great Salt Lake!
