Hiking the Appalachian Trail!!

My friend LR and I went up for a day hike to the Pinnacle along the Appalachian Trail. We started early, not sure how long it would take. After a little bit of a misdirect (never take the advice of a group of 16 year old boys!), and a tremendously steep ascent (breathing hard!!), we made it to an outlook of sorts: the Lehigh Valley Amateur Astronomy Club's 3 observatories! Quite cool!




Following a rocky path around the mountain, we made it to the Pinnacle and ate lunch - LR packed us rice and soy sauce, vegetables, oranges, and yummy peanut butter bars! On the way back down, we found the "easy" way down: a nice wide gently sloping trail that finished right where we began! Haha!







After the hike we decided to find a pub and have a meal. We found pretty much the best place ever - CJ Hummels in Lenhartsville. We both ate entire two piece chicken meals with potatoes and cole slaw, 2 pieces of pie, and a coffee for $22. $22!!!! Plus it was happy hour - $1 drinks and draft beers! $1!!!! GREAT DAY!
