Disappointed

So I know that Michael Vick has served his time for his transgressions, and I'm not totally conviced the NFL as a league should have rules banning criminals. (I mean, obviously they don't right now...spoken or unspoken.)

Anyway, I was hoping that the league would manage itself, sort of like the market is supposed to in an idealistic capitalistic world - i.e. that no team would pick up Michael Vick as sort of a stand against his actions. (But I mean, obviously, the league hasn't done that in the past...)

So I was somewhat shocked to find that my own hometown "heroes" if you will, just signed Michael Vick to a two year deal.

I guess what I'm more confused about is why they did it. The article says that Donovan McNabb is still the #1 quarterback, and names his backups as Kevin Kolb and A.J. Feeley. Then goes on to say that Vick poses no threat to McNabb and that head coach Andy Reid isn't looking in the quarterback direction for Vick. So what direction is he looking in? Why exactly did they pick him up?

I'm confused. And disappointed with the Eagles.

GO STEELERS!!!!!

They obviously hate dogs. Philly has a pitbull overpopulation problem...the Eagles sign Vick....coincidence? I think not.
