Melbourne!

I arrived in Melbourne to a rainstorm and winds, but the minute I stepped out of the train station, I felt at home. The streets reminded me of Philadelphia, lined with trees, and the city is full of trolleys (trams here; trolleys are shopping carts!). I took a walk to Federation Square, which is right on the Yarra River, lined with boat houses (think Schuykill and boat house row).

I've been catching up with friends here for lunch, coffee, dinner, you name it. Went to see the King Tut exhibit at the Melbourne Museum and also saw Francesca Martinez at the International Comedy Festival.

I also took the free city circle trolley around the whole downtown and walked into the city from South Yarra, strolling through the botanic gardens on the way. I love Melbourne!
