First, my friend JS sent me a link to a penguin cam! This is incredible. And I love it. Watch this video about a bald penguin!
Second, JS, LM, AB and I had a great conversation last night reminiscing about old cartoons we used to watch and stuffed animals we used to play with. Of note were: Pegasus (whose name was "Peg" of course), popples, The Snorks, and She-ra and He-man. I especially love this pegasus, and the fact that it's name is Magic Carpet Pegasus!
Which brings up the third thing...the perpetual question. Are you protected from the elements when you are riding a magic carpet? That means, if it is raining, and you are on a magic carpet, do you get wet? Or does the wind hit you? Or are you cold? Comments are eagerly awaited on this subject.

As for the magic carpet, I'm sorry, but you are not protected from the elements. Except maybe the wind isn't as strong, because you can't get blown off.

Jens is wrong or she just has an old model. All magic carpets protect the rider from all that is going on around the magic carpet. If not just think of all the bugs and sand that would get in your teeth.
jens, first of all, if you have a magic carpet, why are you always late to places?? OOOOOH! second, if the wind doesn't affect you, then nothing affects you. this isn't like those people who believe in literal interpretations of genesis but not the rest of the bible, or vice versa. if you're going to take a literal interpretation outlook, you have to apply it to everything. like justice thomas.
