Luge doubles...?

I'm loving the Winter Olympics - snowboarding, skiing moguls, speed skating, luge, . . . luge doubles? I figured the luge was dangerous enough as it was with one person on the sled. But now they are putting two people on that little sled to go down that track at 90 mph?? It also looks kinda funny...
