Friday I got caught in a snow drift. I started down a street that looked fine at the top, but as I drove down and it opened onto a field, the terrible wind blew feet of snow into the air and onto the road. By the time I realized I needed to back up, I couldn't see a thing and backed up onto snow so high my wheels just spun and spun. The snow drift on the driver's side was up to the windshield (see photo below) and the wind was just whipping more and more snow over it and across the windows.
Panic set in, and for a minute I tried to dig my care out with my arm. Then I started cracking up at the thought that I could free myself! Fortunately for me, my guardian angel came in the form of a man in a bull dozer who plowed out all the snow behind me and then chained me up to his dozer and pulled me out of the snow!!!
