SCUBA diving in Thailand. After a mixup with pickup time and place on the first day, I made it to the boat and a whole load of us set out to Phi Phi Islands, east of Phuket, about 3hrs ride away. The above water scenery was gorgeous!
Below water were all sorts of colorful coral, sea slugs, bright fish, squid, sting rays, moray eels, leopard sharks, sea urchins, and scary poisonous lion fish!! My dive master buddy Claus was great and could spot things a mile away.
We were fed breakfast, lunch, and pancakes at the end, and had unlimited water, coffee, and tea! The second day we went south to Racha Noi and Racha Yai, two small islands, and were hoping to see manta rays. Unfortunately, we didn't spot any, but did see a whole lot of cool fish, a poisonous sea snake, and a HUGE moray eel!! Life is good!
