Back Yard Flora

In addition to the wonderful fauna we have around the yard ("garden"), we also have some pretty cool plants. Of excellent use lately has been the pomegranate tree!!! I had never seen pomegranates actually growing, so it is amazing to just be able to go out the front door and pick a pomegranate for lunch!




There's also a feijoa tree (pronounced fa-jo-a) out back. It's a type of guava. Unfortunately, this tree seems to have seen better days and hasn't really produced any ripe fruit.



We have bamboo, morning glories, eucalyptus, rose hip, native grasses, and others as well. It's quite a beautiful jungle out there!!
