Pomegranates are amazing!

Today we made the Iranian dish Ash-e anar - a pomegranate soup with meatballs, lentils, rice, spices, and mint. It was DELICIOUS! However, the amount of labor put into this soup was quite substantial.

We decided to pick all the rest of the pomegranates and use them up. We needed a cup of pomegranate juice, which is quite difficult to extract if you don't have a handy dandy heavy duty juicer! We managed to get a cup of juice from at least 8 pomegranates. Check out the remains below!

Anyway, the soup was delicious along with some bread and cheese and Moroccan mint tea!
