The Diamond Club

Yesterday I went to the Phillies game with my summer associate colleagues. I was fortunate enough to be one of three of us who were able to sit in the Diamond Club right behind home plate. I must say, I was not disappointed. We were about 12 rows back and had a great view of the plate. I also found out there is a whole restaurant/bar area under the stadium behind the Diamond Club seating with a bunch of different food stations where you can get pretty much anything, including sushi. Quite impressive.

Thursday night was also fireworks night. It was probably the most impressive fireworks display I'd ever seen. And the looooooongest. That's for sure. It was set to a music track and every time a song ended or switched, there was a mini finale which I always mistook for the real finale. But when the real finale finally rolled around, it was unmistakable. Yet all I could think was, Goodness, does any of my taxpayer money go towards this gaudy display? I don't think it does, but wouldn't be surprised if it did...

Here's the view!
