If you know me, you know that I'm a huge fan of rewards programs - especially frequent flier ones. I'm obsessed with accruing miles, and it's just been recently that I've actually used them. (I love stockpiling, but you have to rip them from my hands!)
Anyway, my friend JN brought this article to my attention - people were using their frequent flier miles credit cards to buy up bunches and bunches of $1 coins, with free shipping, and then depositing their coins back into their bank account. So basically they were getting FREE MILES!!! THOUSANDS OF THEM!!!
I can't believe I missed this opportunity. Especially since I also LOVE coins! Which might create the dilemma in itself - could I part with coins after purchase??? We'll never know...
