GO PENN STATE!

Today Penn State takes on Navy in the collegiate women's rugby Final Four in Stanford California. This is the 10th year in a row that Penn State has made it back to the Final Four. GO PSU!!!!

But of course, I'm always able to find the negative in a situation. Last year and the year before, USA Rugby streamed the games live over the internet, for those individuals who can't make the trek to Stanford (where the championships have been every year for the past 7 years - tips the scales a little bit? Maybe, but that's a whole other story). Anyway, this year USA Rugby is NOT showing the games live because they have some agreement with ESPNU, who has the rights to the games, and will be broadcasting the games 3 weeks later.

Um, first of all, does anybody even have the channel ESPNU? Second of all, who wants to watch the games 3 weeks after they happen? (Anticlimatic.) Third of all, USA Rugby streamed the Sweet 16s live, and now they are going to leave us in the lurch?

Dear USA Rugby, you just pissed off an entire country of Penn State graduates (and there's a lot of us), not to mention all the parents of the players from the east coast and all those players who weren't selected for the trip to Stanford. And that's just on the DI Women's side. I'm pretty sure this isn't helping member relations...

i was pissed off last year and at sweet 16s! i was totally unable to connect and view any part of the game last year cuz they didn't have enough bandwidth and this year, well the sweet 16s just weren't compatible with my mac. i think we should hire these espnu people to stream the games live on their website. they seem like they might have better technology.
