I've got one word to say to you: WHERE ARE THE SALT TRUCKS?!?!??!
I spent the better part of 5 hours of driving wanting to stab something. First I battled the traffic out of Philly at 6pm. Ridiculous. Then it was pretty much smooth sailing until Lewistown, just outside of State College, when the snow and the morons hit.
I really have no patience for people who drive 15 mph in snow. Yes, I understand snow can be dangerous. But you know what else is dangerous? People from North Carolina who think they can drive up a huge, snow-slick hill at 15 mph, slowing every inch of the way up until they are going so slow they can't get up the hill and they are stuck. People who drive quickly, then smash their breaks, scared of their speed, skidding a little bit here and there, right in front of you. That is scary.
In their defense, the roads were pretty terrible. But sometimes I just wish I had a gadget car and could either torch the cars in front of me, or extend my car up and drive over them. Or just plain smash right over them.
One thing I don't understand is why there weren't any salt trucks to be seen. Or any "adverse weather conditions vehicles" to be found.
