FREEZE

It is finally winter, literally. December 22, the first day of winter. The only satisfaction I get from this day is that the days get longer from here on out.

Anyway, I'm visiting my family in western PA where today it was 12F, feels like -2F. What??? Why???

I initially came into the holiday break vowing not to leave the house or remove my pajamas, and had high hopes for not even leaving the couch. But for some reason I had an urge to go for a run. I'm not sure why, but early afternoon rolled around and I bundled up and took off. I made it about 18 minutes before my lungs were frozen solid and I couldn't feel my feet or hands.

I'm not sure this run was successful in any sense of the word, but it did convince me that I was justified in eating several pieces of chocolate candy this evening. I already burned off the fat...right?

Regardless, it is good to be spending the time with my family. Happy Holidays everybody!
