Happy Chinese New Year everybody!!! 2009 is the Year of the Ox. Here is what Wikipedia has to say about people born in the Year of the Ox:
"The Ox is the sign of prosperity through fortitude and hard work. This powerful sign is a born leader, being quite dependable and possessing an innate ability to achieve great things. As one might guess, such people are dependable, calm, and modest. Like their animal namesake, the Ox is unswervingly patient, tireless in their work, and capable of enduring any amount of hardship without complaint."
Good on ya, Oxen!
I'm just disappointed I didn't celebrate the Chinese New Year like I had planned - building a float on my bicycle and throwing things at people on my own parade through Chinatown. Maybe next year.
In other news, I stayed on the bus this morning one extra stop past my stop waiting for the guy across the aisle to get off so I could pick up the 2 dimes and a nickel under his seat. Don't worry, they were there way before he had sat down, so it wasn't like I saw the coins drop out of his pocket and not give it back to him. And the extra block I had to walk after passing my stop was totally worth it.
Also in other news, I heard that octuplets were born in California today and the first thought that came to mind was "great, 8 more people in this world." Maybe I shouldn't be disclosing this to the public, but seriously people - 8 CHILDREN AT ONE TIME??? Are we turning into PIGS?*
*No offense to those who work with or love pigs. I'd just like to make the point that people don't have many multiples of teats. They only have two. T-W-O. 2. And yes, I know that pigs have more than 8 teats.

What if that guy hadn't gotten off at the next stop? How long would you have stayed on the bus?
the bus was the one that only goes 2 stops past my stop anyway. no biggie. but i'd probably have ridden that bus around all of philadelphia! hahaha.
i think i might start placing coins just out of your reach then sit around and watch how much effort you'll put it to get to them.
I'm offended.
maybe you should take down that video...
