I MISSED my first birthday!
I can't believe it. I was thinking the other day about how I feel like I've been blogging for a long time, and then tried to remember the date of the first entry on this blog. I'm usually good with remembering dates forever, especially birthdays, but lately I guess I've been having to use my brain for things other than remembering dates. I knew it was in January, but not the exact date. Anyway, I forgot to check my blog to see the first entry ever on the Penguin Files.
This morning I had a look and realized my first ever post was January 7, 2008!!! I've missed my birthday by 17 days!!! :(
AND, going back and reading that post and the comments, I realize I missed a tally in my Money Count - the blank check I found!! Of course I ripped it up and threw it out.

i found $10 on the ground today...but i saw it drop from a guys hand as he was stuffing a wad of junk into his jacket pocket...i gave it back to him. It would have been a good find about 3 seconds later.
