I have decided to write a blog. Contrary to the title, most of these postings will have nothing to do with penguins. Unless, of course, I write about penguins.
I have decided to do an experiment. Well, not an experiment in the sense of the scientific method, detailed recordings of methods and results, and a clear, concise discussion resulting in a cure for cancer or a solution for homelessness. An experiment in the sense that I just want to figure out one thing: How much money can I find on the ground in 1 year. (Note: 1 year in this case will run from 1/1/08 until 12/31/08 and will include leap day).
For those of you who know me, I have done this before. The outcome: $35.01. The largest unit of money found: $5 bill. The most depressing thing about the last experiment: my good friend, IR, in the course of only 3 months, found two $20 on the ground, blasting my $35.01 out of the water. (Name is removed to protect the innocent...don't go robbing IR).
Stay tuned to find out how much money I've found so far...

Didn't you find a nickel yesterday? I'd like to know how much money you've accumulated so far. You are a week into your experiment already, after all....
dear jen, my money is at home. and i am not.
You found a blank check! You could have made millions, or at least what was in that dummy's bank account. Do checks figure into the final accounting??
you found a valid monthly septa pass too...i think you need to create a more accurate tally of monetary and those 'other' gains for full experimental results
