On my way to school this morning, after almost losing all my fingers in the cold, I heard in the distance the wailing of a siren. As it came closer I realized it was an ambulance. Definitely in a hurry. It was coming through the intersection I was waiting to cross so I stopped and gawked. And then did a double take. The ambulance had written on the side of it "Welcome" in big red pretty letters. Welcome. I hurried all this way and drove through intersections...Welcome to my ambulance! What? You've lost your arm in a freak bear attack in the city? Have no fear, Welcome to my Welcome Ambulance! You need to go to the hospital quickly? Well come on in, Welcome to my ambulance! My Welcome Ambulance can get you where you need to go, fast!
Somehow I think that's the last thing people in need of an ambulance want to see...Welcome. Make yourself at home.
