Wind chill bites. Literally. I just tried to go for a leisurely Sunday bike ride and had to turn around less than a mile into it. I checked the weather page and it said 23 feels like 8. 8. That's fine. 8 is above 0. I have warm clothes. I have good gloves and a hat. I have some music to keep my mind off the cold. Except the wind bites. And I forgot to put on long socks. So as I made my turn onto Spring Garden I was blasted with Mr. Wind. And my ankles immediately turned to ice. Just keep going, I thought to myself, you'll warm up. But only 4 blocks later the wind picked up even more and I was pedaling at a standstill. That's when I decided to turn around, come home, and do some homework. How lame is that?
This week hasn't been too lucrative on the money finding front. I went for a long run yesterday and only found 1 penny. How disappointing.
Anyway, in an effort to keep my friend AS entertained at work, I will try and blog more often. Although I think some of these entries are rather boring. My scraper bike is doing well, the basket on the back is magnificent. But now I'm in the market for another hybrid type bike so I can have one for running errands and carrying stuff and have another one for going on longer bike rides so I don't look so silly with my Rutter's Dairy milk crate attached to the back riding next to those real bikers with the fancy outfits and thin tires.

when i have packages bungeed to the back of my bike, i find my legs aren't long enough to mount and dismount. i never can clear the rack in the back. i look ridiculous trying to hop on one leg and stop straddling this bike thing. sometimes i fall down. does that happen to you? how to you dismount?
