Thursday night Drexel Law held their annual Public Interest Education (PIE) Auction to raise money for scholarships to students who work in non-profit and public interest jobs over the summer. Open bar, finger food, and buffet style dinner - what more could you ask for??
The auction items varied - ride the Duck Tour in Philly with the Dean, Bowling night with 5 professors, law review get out of cite checking free card, NRA pistol lesson, baseball tickets, 5 flu shots, and....**DRUM ROLL**....lunch with Mayor Nutter!
Because I had only 3 pennies in my wallet, I wasn't really paying much attention to the bidding, but I think at least one item went for $1000!!!
Other activities included $1 karaoke - challenge your friends or sign yourself up, jeopardy between professors and students, and throwing pies in two professor's faces! Good times.
**They also had "free" coffee with the faculty next fall - GREEN MOUNTAIN COFFEE!!!
