DUBAI!

Well, I did something insane and traveled to Dubai to watch the Rugby 7s World Cup! Both the USA mens and women's teams were playing and my friends IR and JS were part of the women's team.

Anyway, Dubai is incrediblely interesting, culturally and structurally. Although I didn't get much time doing things in the city, the little bit I saw convinced me that Dubai is one of the weirdest, most impressive cities in the world. I did manage to put my feet in the Persian Gulf and take a walk through part of the Mall of the Emirates (there's a ski slope inside!!!).

But more importantly, I got to watch the games Friday and Saturday, and saw the women make it to the semi-final, only to fall in a heart breaker to New Zealand, 12-14. Australia came out the eventual winners in sudden death overtime for the women, and Wales won for the men!

I also got to see my friend EH, who came all the way from Hong Kong! What a great trip!! Now it's back to reality, unfortunately.

Thank you so much for coming. It meant so much to the players and to me that you would come and support us halfway around the world. It was wonderful to see and hear all of you that came to cheer us on.

So for all of you
