Of course

Well, yesterday was shaping up quite nicely after the rain died down around 5pm and I decided to make a bike for it, hoping to get home before the skies opened again. However, my plan was thwarted, of course. I went to the bike rack where I locked my bike, the one with the overhang so your bike stays dry, and, of course, it was packed full of other bikes. And of course those bikes had basically jammed my bike into the rack to the point where I couldn't get my bike out because the handlebars of this ugly old bike were in the way. Tug and try as I might, my bike wasn't budging. Of course.

So I decided to walk home. It wasn't raining and was kind of nice. And then I decided to stop at Whole Foods because I was a little bit hungry and they always have free samples (and I needed some groceries). Still not raining. Sure enough there were free samples of pineapple (my favorite!), guacamole (I loitered around that free sample for a while), cheese dip with crackers, English cheddar, and itty bitty chocolate chip cookies. Score! Until I hear the pounding on the roof. It is raining so hard it sounds like a train. Of course. I took my time shopping, but then decided to just deal with it.

On the walk home, a little over a mile, it still poured. Of course. And my groceries were double bagged in paper bags. And my umbrella sucks, of course. I finally made it to my front stoop and my grocery bag dropped out from under me. I was soaked but relatively unscathed. Then, of course, the rain stops.

So I decided to be ambitious and go for a run, and in order to not be too far away from the house if the rain started again, I just kept running up one block and down the other. Then I found a cell phone. And here's where it gets weird. I didn't know how to get in touch with this person so I just called their phone and left a voicemail with my name and number. And this morning the guy calls and it ends up his fiance is a 2L law student at....DREXEL LAW! How crazy is that??!! I didn't see that of course coming!
