The Barnes Foundation is something I would call a well-hidden secret in Philadelphia. This amazing mansion/museum/arboretum can be found just 7 miles outside center city - one turn off of City Ave in Merion, PA.
What is it? A mansion that houses French Impressionist, Post-Impressionist and Modern art. It includes paintings (oil and water color), sculptures, tapestries, drawings, charcoals, furniture, and other interesting artefacts.
I had the fortune of being able to tour this museum before the collection is moved to a building on Ben Franklin Parkway. My favorites are Cezanne (excluding his portraits - ugly), Braque's drawings, Demuth, Monet, Pascin, Sisley, and Seurat.

i was determined to come up with a reason for why you should use "artifact" over "artefact," but i agree with your choice of spelling after reviewing the etymology.
scratch that, i just found one. as i was reviewing my reply, the built in spell checker reported "artefact" as being misspelled and suggested that i use "artifact" instead.
