Twitter. What is Twitter? I tried to sign up, because a few of my friends have it and suggested it. I even tried to put it into my blog. But for some reason, it just didn't work. I took this as a sign. I started thinking, why does everybody need to know what I'm doing? And why would I update it to tell people what I'm doing? What kind of friend am I if I can't call someone up and talk to them, but instead they get updates through something called Twitter?? And I would only put up ridiculous updates like "today my apple tasted like nail polish" or "I've had a bad hair day." Who really needs to know that?
I think the internet has changed friendships for the worse - rather than people investing time into meaningful relationships, we instead spread our "friendships" over hundreds of people (some we don't even know) and rely on social networking sites like facebook and myspace for pointless exchanges and updates.

Do you realize that you are on Twitter?
yes, i do realize i have an account on twitter, that i never use, and never intend to use. because of my experience logged in this blog posting. and i have several followers. haha.
Don't blame the internet. Blame your friends. We all have a choice on how we communicate with one another. I personally prefer to call someone up and have a conversation.
As for twitter, it has it's merits. While we're in STL, twitter updates will be sent to my blog about how the US is doing in the Bahamas. No waiting for USA rugby to post scores.
