I was this way that way forwards backwards over the Irish Sea!!

A bottle of rum to warm my tum and that's the life for me!!! Yesterday I took the ferry from Holyhead, Wales to Dublin, Ireland. About a 3 hour ride in luxurious cushion seats!! There's even a cinema on the ship (for a cost, of course). Once you exit the ferry, you have to take a bus to Dublin city center. Fortunately for me, it was only 2.50 Euros, and I had 2.90 Euros left over from a trip in 2002! The weekend was starting off right!

I met up with my friend MJ and we went out to the Temple Bar area for dinner. Wandered into a bar with a guy singing a mix of Irish songs and other popular songs. The most amazing thing was watching all the people come in and out of the bar, everybody smiling and happy, from young young people to old grey haired people dancing up a storm. The crowd actually didn't bother me (shocker!) and the guy singing was really funny and engaging. Good times!

This morning we went for a jog around the city and saw Merion Green, St. Stephen's Green, Christchurch Cathedral, Ha'Penny Bridge, the Liffey River and in true Irish form - a few rainbows!!! It pretty much rains here every three hours I think. Misty drizzle rains, but not that bad.

This afternoon we went to tour the John Jameson and Sons Whiskey Distillery and then the Guinness Factory (liquor before beer...). Both were pretty cool, but at the Guinness Factory you can try your hand at pouring the perfect pint!!! Which I did, and even got a certificate! Special.

Me, concentrating on pouring the perfect pint.

Me, sporting my "Perfect Pint Pourer" certificate!

My ma, gpa and I stayed in the Temple Bar area...Grandpa didn't like all the noise from the partying hahaha

And I came home with a print of Ha'Penny Bridge.

So glad you're having fun!
