Apparently it is clothing optional...

for BOTH men and women on the beaches here!!! I'm in Barcelona, where it's still quite warm during the day and super sunny!! The first thing I did when I got here, after checking into my hostel, was take a walk straight to the beach. It was sooooooo beautiful! I just sat there, watching the waves crash and soaking up the sun.

Could have done without the constant "massageeeeeeyyyyy??? massageeeeeyyyyy??" - women strolling the beach asking if you wanted a massage. But whatever, it was so pleasant. Until I turned and looked at the lady next to me who had sat down fully clothed the last time I looked at her. This time, however, she had only bikini bottoms on!!! OMG! And then as I was leaving, I saw an old dude lying there catching the rays completely naked! Haha! Crazy.


Anyway, Barcelona is really cool and I had a great opportunity to meet up with my very first friend ever from my early years in Michigan! She and her husband took me out for tapas and a stroll around Gracia, the Catalan neighborhood that was swallowed by Barcelona expansion.

Also in Barcelona are Antoni Gaudi's works - Parc Guell, the Sagrada Familia, and several other buildings throughout the city. I found myself really liking the terrible gaudiness of it!! Haha!!

Definitely had a great time. Need more time for the rest of Spain!!
