Firenze

I left NM's parents (who were absolutely wonderful!!!) and took a train to Florence, Italy. It's hard to describe Florence in words. Spectacular. Fascinating. Historic. Bustling. There are a lot of famous works of art and architecture here, and I saw a lot of them. This includes Michaelangelo's David, Il Duomo, and some famous paintings I'm going to see tomorrow.

The roads here are all of stone, all VERY narrow, and all very quaint! I managed to stroll through a couple flea/street markets over the weekend, go for a run up the hill to see a panoramic of Florence (unfortunately, the only time I don't bring my camera, I really wish I had it!), and dine on olives, bread and olive oil, pizza, chianti, and gelati.

There's so much history here and so many cool things it's hard to fit it all in, both in real life and on this blog!! I loved it and could not stop taking pictures!
