Wheatbeer tour...sort of!

I was fortunate enough to be in Munich when my friend MJ was heading on a "wheatbeer hiking tour" with his friends from school. Basically, I didn't really know what to expect. It started with breakfast at the place with the best white sausages - so we had sausages, pretzels, and beer for breakfast!

Then we set off to the south to the mountains for the hike. The first part was gently sloping up a gravel road. I was a little worried because it was pretty foggy. But once we hiked up through the fog, it was beautiful and sunny!!!

After a bit, we took the extreme way up the mountain - tiny, steep trail - to the top of the first peak. From there, we hiked along the ridge to the second and third peaks before heading down to the alpine hut where we stayed the night after several rounds of Uno and Familiespiele!!! We also saw a guy in a "South Street Philadelphia" shirt - he had never been there. Haha.

Sunday morning saw us taking the shorter, less treacherous way down the mountain and then heading to Kloster Andechs for lunch and then back to Munich. Excellent weekend and beautiful mountains!!!
