Across the street is the Red Cross Museum, which was actually really interesting. The Red Cross started back in 1863 in response to one man's recollection of the battle and Solferino. The organization not only includes the care of the wounded in war, but also children's rights and prisoner of war rights. You can check out the International Committee of the Red Cross here.
Next I wandered back to the Old Town area of Geneva - where Geneva began. The history here was amazing and I toured the famous St. Pierre Cathedral and Archaeological Site. They've excavated below the church to find structures from ancient Roman times and before!
Finally, I took a look at the Reformation Wall - a monumnent honoring the Protestant leaders from all over the world.
Then I watched the sunset from the bridge over the Rhone River!
