First of all, it is finally March! Mentally that means it is spring! We won't mention the fact that it is still quite cold.
Anyway, I walked outside yesterday to a rather inviting sight I must say. Water was bubbling from a 6 inch pipe hole in the sidewalk in front of the house next door. This water wasn't just any water. It was browny yellow colored water and bubbling out of the pipe with it was bits of wet white stuff. I quickly concluded that this was probably poop water and the white stuff was most likely toilet paper. My conclusion was confirmed by the stench, which, thank God it isn't summer, wasn't tooooo bad.
So taking my lesson from the PGW incident last time, I called the water department. But this time I said I was just walking by and saw the water erupting from the sidewalk, I don't live anywhere nearby, and I didn't leave my number. Later that day RotoRooter knocked on my door and I quickly dismissed him to next door.
I'll leave you with a final vision. I went out to take a look again and nearly vomited. Surrounding the hole in the sidewalk was a small pond of poop with floating toilet paper lily pads!
