Tabata, toothbrushes, and Bill Cowher

So the last couple days have been quite eventful. Monday night JS, KP and I decided to do this workout called the Tabata method. Basically it is 5 minutes of warm up, then 4 minutes of intense interval work - 20 second all out sprint with 10 second rest, repeat until 4 minutes is up. Then a cool down. Well, I'm not so sure the Tabata method is supposed to be done AFTER an hour+ lifting circuit after which you cannot walk or lift your arms at all. But we did it. And made it 2:30 before nearly falling off the back of the treadmill. That might have made this post a little more interesting.

Anyway, the bright spot of the night was the free electric toothbrushes the gym was giving out...and the fact that I just walked right in. So now, not only did I get fitter, faster, and stronger, I will have more healthy teeth!!!

Yesterday, after plodding through a lighter running workout trying to get rid of my soreness, I met my friend AB and we went to the Princeton women's basketball game against Penn. Being that Bill Cowher's daughter plays for Princeton, being that AB is her strength trainer, being that it is Bill Cowher's daughter's last game ever since she is graduating, who do you think is sitting across the court watching??? BILL COWHER!!!! So of course, I had to meet him!!! He probably thought I was crazy but I just went up to him and introduced myself and shook his hand. I love the Steelers! And I love Bill Cowher. I must say, his jaw is not so prominent in real life as it is on TV or the pictures.
