Sometimes rudeness is a little bit warranted. But mostly unnecessary rudeness is uncalled for. My friends and I experienced a moment of unnecessary rudeness this morning as we were happily preparing for our first exam this term. I'll just say it was quite unpleasant and put a sour taste in our mouths.
We were just minding our own business, in our small little exam room in which we had been for the two previous terms, for all of our exams. The same 9 of us that are always in that exam room. But this term apparently the room is no longer being used for our exams. So instead of being asked nicely to move to an appropriate room, we were told gruffly to get out. The tone was uncalled for. And then it made me wonder, just what is so bad in your life that at 8am on a beautiful sunny morning you have to come in and ruin other people's happy existences by being unnecessarily rude? Power trip, it seems to me.
Whatever. I hate unnecessary rudeness.
